Meet Dr. Laura S. Anderson

Dr. Laura Anderson is a licensed child and family psychologist who has worked with kids, teens and their families for more than twenty-five years. Dr. Anderson has an added expertise in supporting gender expansive, non-binary and transgender youth and their families. She has been featured in several major media publications and does training in the United States and worldwide for parents, schools and other mental health providers on related topics.  Dr. Anderson specializes in child development, assessment, adoption-related issues, improving family communication, and school-based services as well as supporting globally mobile families.

Perhaps most importantly, Dr. Anderson is a parent….and she understands the distinct joys and stressors of raising children who are walking different paths than their parents did. When she isn’t supporting families and providing training, you will find Dr. Anderson in, on, or under the ocean, nibbling on chocolate, dancing, and probably laughing at herself and with others.
